Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing instructional design, development, and pedagogy for our online and brick and click courses. Responsibilities include: - Consults with faculty on design of curriculum, instruction and effective uses of multi-media and instructional technology.
- Facilitates the development, production and delivery of distance education courses and the development of electronically delivered course materials that support traditional courses.
- Develops and conducts instructional technology training sessions and workshops in conjunction with the Director of IT and Online Training.
- Develops a series of online workshops for online faculty that include, but are not limited to: use of the discussion board; use of groups and group projects; alternative testing measures; and retention.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of college level distance education teaching experience; experience using the Blackboard/WebCT course management system; experience in instructional design, preferably for blended and/or e-learning; experience creating instructional design materials to support the production of blended and online course materials involving graphics and multi-media; excellent communication, counsulting, and organizational skills; ability to lend a learner-centered focus when collaborating with faculty and team members; knowledge of technical capabilities typical of robust e-learning; and experience training others in the use of technology.

COMPENSATION: $35/hour
HOURS: Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.
